Forest360

Forest360 is a nationwide forestry company and as such wanted to highlight timber as feature for their main office.

The exterior is clear stained cedar, with the entranceway coated in Crowshead stain to match the dark roof and create a point of difference. The interior was also coated with clear stain as well as fire shield, applied carefully to meet required fire rating without impacting the finished look.

The exterior cladding system was fixed with silicone bronze rose head finishing nails. The interior panelling was fixed with a hidden clip fixing system, creating a finished product with no visible fixings. This system was completed by our own carpenters and apprentices, which required a high skill level and effective management to produce the quality result necessary to meet not only the client and Architects standards, but also the standards that we set for ourselves.

The structure encroaching on the footpath was created using 220 x 220 Prolam Radiata posts outside, bolted together and carefully hidden with SikaTack Drive, a product commonly used in the automotive industry. The finishing touch was the installation of sunken footpath up lighting and LED strip entranceway lighting in gable entranceway.

The standout features of this building include:

• Cedar exterior cladding and interior panelling

• 220 x 220 Prolam Radiata exterior walkway complete with featured lighting

• Engineered interior acoustic baffle and tiling

• Sto Brick Bag-wash System in Matt Black exterior coating

The finished product is unique for Feilding in that it has been designed and built to a standard not commonly found in the small rural town.
