Walter Dyer Hostel Upgrade - Massey University

This project consisted of a complete renovation to all four floors and the roof of the Walter Dyer Hostel at Massey University. The exterior of the building received repairs to the existing roof, an upgrade of all mechanical/hydraulic plant, new double glazed windows to the entire complex and a complete re-paint. The interior of the building was completely demolished back to its original structure, before it was completely re-built with new fixtures and finishes, which has resulted in a high quality accommodation facility for Massey University.

The renovation consisted of four separate common rooms/kitchens, four separate male/female bathrooms and 99 bedrooms, all completed during the 6 month construction program.

This project was a massive effort by the Colspec team and our subcontractors, during some very cold days/weeks and highlights the quality of work that is present in our region.
